Fraterfest Readathon

I'm so excited for this readathon, I can't even tell you. First, it's being hosted by one of the nicest bloggers I know (and one of my favorites), Kimba at Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer. Second, it's all about things that go bump in the night.

I'm probably alone in this, but I LOVE being scared. It's really hard for me to actually be freaked out and lose sleep, so being scared is a lot of fun or me. Horror movies are AWESOME, and I honestly can't think of one that frightened me to the point of not being able to fall asleep at night. The only thing that really creeps me out is movies with kids who are possessed or something along those lines, but even then, it's not too bad.

The horror genre of books, I love even more. There's just something about the heart-pumping, looking-over-your-shoulder aspect that I can't get enough of.

And that's what this readathon is for - reading those books with zombies, ghosts, vampires, monsters, etc. I'm going to have a field day with this one.

I'm not sure exactly what I'll be reading, other than these two (because I have them sitting right in front of me). I'll have to go through my shelves as I read and pick some more out.

Rot and Ruin by Jonathan Mayberry
Dust and Decay by Jonathan Mayberry

SO excited to start that series.

What about you? Are you participating in the Fraterfest readathon? What are some of your favorite spooky books?

  2. I've only just heard of these books this week, but seems like several participating in Fraterfest are reading these. Hope you enjoy and good luck!
